Sweet' n Simple Ceremony Sample 4

This is a Romantic English Ceremony with optional Spanish translation of parts  that are directed to the guests.

Ceremony is approximately 15-20 minutes.

Opening Words

We are gathered here today to witness the coming together of two people, Bride and Groom,  whose hearts and spirits are entwined as one.

This union is more than joining the bonds of marriage of two persons.

It's the uniting of two souls already attuned to each other.

When such a true bond already exists between man and woman, it is fitting that an outer acknowledgment be made.

This acknowledgment is the prime object of this gathering and this ceremony.

We are here to bear witness to the entry into the closer relationship of husband and wife of these beloved friends who are already one in spirit.

Declaration of Intent

Please face each other and join hands

Groom , do you take Bride   for your lawful wedded wife? Will you love, honor, comfort, and cherish her from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto her for as long as you both shall live? Groom : I do.

Bride  , do you take Groom  for your lawful wedded husband? Will you love, honor, comfort, and cherish him from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto him for as long as you both shall live? Bride  : I do.

Every experience you have ever had, everything you have done, everything you have learned has brought you to this moment.

New experiences lie before you with opportunities to grow deeper in love with each other. You are taking into your care and trust the happiness of the one person in this world whom you love with all your heart.

You are agreeing to share life’s deepest and richest experiences.

You are adding to your life not only affection of each other, but also the companionship and blessing of mutual respect.

We are here to share in the celebration of your love, a love that now culminates in your union as husband and wife.

Wedding Ring Ceremony

May I please have your rings?

The wedding ring is the outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual bond which unites two loyal hearts in partnership. This unique bond unites two spirits in endless love. Wedding rings are made of  precious metal and rare stones and that reminds us that love is neither cheap nor common; but indeed love is very costly and dear to us.  These rings are circles which have no end and symbolize the never-ending love that exists between you.  Whether you are together or apart for even just a moment, may these rings be a constant reminder of the promises you are making to one another this day.

Groom, please place this ring on Bride's finger and say:

With this ring I thee wed.  Wear it as a symbol of our eternal love and commitment.

Bride, please place this ring on Groom's finger and say:
